🐾🏠 Gratitude Post 🐾🏠 1st of the month

We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to all our amazing supporters who helped us reach our financial goal at our fundraiser! Your generosity and dedication have made a significant impact on our mission to [insert mission here]. We couldn’t have done it without you!

But we also want to take a moment to express our gratitude for something equally important – our incredible foster families. These compassionate individuals open their hearts and homes to our furry friends in need, providing them with love, care, and a safe haven.

To all our foster families, we are immensely grateful for your selflessness and commitment to making a difference in the lives of these dogs. Your kindness and dedication truly make a world of difference, and we couldn’t be more thankful for your support.

While we are incredibly grateful for the amazing foster families we have, we also want to acknowledge that there is an ongoing need for more foster homes. If you or someone you know is interested in becoming a foster parent for one of our adorable dogs, please reach out to us. Together, we can give these dogs the love and care they deserve while they wait for their forever homes.

Once again, thank you to everyone who has supported us, whether through financial contributions, volunteering, or fostering. Your kindness and generosity have touched the lives of so many, and we are eternally grateful.

Immediate Change in the TNR program. The unfortunate decision to temporarily stop the Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) cat program at Wags. Due to limited resources, space and manpower at this time, we have had to make the difficult choice to put the program on hold indefinitely. WAGS can not handle over 525 animals. The influx is causing or will cause more harm than good.

We are required to take in the stray and “lost” dogs in our contracted cities, we are not required to take in healthy community cats. We can not sustain the positive impact we have had with this unprecedented intake implosion. We normally have had foster resources or adoptions that keep the flow of intake to adoption moving but even with a reduction in adoption fees, the need and desire to adopt has decreased.

While we understand the importance of TNR in controlling the feral cat population, we currently lack the necessary resources to continue the program. This decision was not made lightly, and we deeply regret any inconvenience or disappointment it may cause.

However, I would like to emphasize that this stoppage only applies to healthy cats over 7 months of age. We will continue to prioritize the well-being and care of these cats, ensuring they receive the necessary medical attention and support they require.

We understand the impact this may have on the community and the cats themselves, and we are actively exploring alternative solutions to address the issue.

We also need dog fosters asap
So a slide promoting that –

Thank you
