As of this morning, we have heard about MORE changes to the City Management Team. Here’s what we know. The City Manager has put in his resignation, the Assistant City Manager has already left. There is only an acting City Manager who has been in place for about a week. 3 of the 5 City Council members are being recalled, 1 being the Mayor. Sadly, our city of Westminster is a mess and we are terrified of being lost in the turmoil. We have been supporting the concept of “Keep The Contract 2020” to be the city’s Animal Care Services vendor. But we need to change the focus to “Stop the RFP- bidding process – just keep WAGS as the city shelter!” based on the constant turnover of our city officials. We need to ask the city to wait on the RFP process until its resolved its issues with its leadership team. We feel that the best action to take is to have everyone now contact Governor Gavin Newsom and ask him to STOP THE RFP! Here is all of his contact information:
