WAGS visits Johnson Middle School in Westminster

Cortney was at it again! Today she got to visit Johnson Middle School in Westminster and talk to 2 junior high classes about persuasive letter writing and why its important for the citizens of Westminster to get involved and have their voices heard! The kids all took notes and will be writing the City Council all about what they learned today about what makes WAGS GREAT! They also learned about the junior volunteer opportunities that WAGS has for kids their age. Of the 5 classrooms visited in the last week, the thing that has stuck out the most is when asked who has heard of WAGS, at least HALF of each classroom has raised their hands. And at least 2 kids from each classroom has ADOPTED a pet from WAGS! In our opinion, that is HUGE! WAGS IS THE COMMUNITY SHELTER and these kids want to help keep it that way! Thank you @jmswarriors for having Cortney out today! #wagspetadoption #helpushelpthem #shelterlife #community #cityofwestminster #westminsterca #westminstercityhall #westminsterpolicedepartment #communityoutreach
