Thank you all for questions and comments about our Keep the Contract 2020 Campaign! We have heard from so many people who love WAGS that are concerned that the city will not choose WAGS based on cost vs. an underbidding shelter even if its low quality of service and care for the animals. To be clear, we understand that a city’s biggest concern is covering city costs. We know that Westminster is not in the strongest position financially, but we DO KNOW that WAGS is one of the best vendors a city can ask for for Animal Care Services. We have always taken pride in being honest, transparent, dedicated to the highest quality of care that we can possibly give to the pets of Westminster and Stanton, and we are extremely city focused. We want the cities that we service to be proud of where their stray, unwanted, neglected, & abandoned pets go to for temporary housing until their forever homes can be found. One of our missions has always been to change the way people think about animal shelters. We want them to feel like it is a happy place to go to, where community programs happen and people can come together for a common goal…to reunite people with their lost pets OR find them new forever homes.
