Hi my name is Beetle!

Hi my name is Beetle! I love to cuddle but also love to play! It’s going to be really hard for me to find a home because I’m FIV Positive. FIV stands for feline immunodeficiency virus, which is like HIV for humans. I can still act and be a cat with this virus, but I’ll have to live with other FIV Positive cats or live alone. Don’t worry about giving me pets, I am not contagious to humans. Cats with FIV can live a long and healthy life. In fact, studies over the last 10 years or so have shown that cats with FIV often live as long as otherwise healthy cats that do not have this virus. Many of these cats age normally and never show signs of FIV related illness.
