What a year 2019 has been for WAGS!
Wow! What a year 2019 has been for WAGS! So many roller coaster moments and amazing opportunities/memories to reflect back on. We have gone through so much in the past 365 days and we are so happy to have been able to share every moment with all of you! WAGS is a safe haven for the pets of Westminster and Stanton. That is something that the entire staff will forever be proud of. We stand true to our mission to be advocates for the pets in our care and will continue to do so for as long as we are allowed. WAGS continuing growth has been an wonderful thing to be a part of. From the increase in our live release numbers (which I will share in this post), the community involvement with classes, tours, and volunteer opportunities, and just the pubic knowledge of our little shelter that is tucked into the shopping center and is difficult for people to see from the street. Knowing that WAGS has made such a big impact on our community is very emotional for all of us. Thank you ALL for your support this year, whether its been through adopting, donating, volunteering, sharing social media posts, or just talking about us to your friends and family…we could NOT have accomplished what we did in 2019 without all of you! Here are the 2019 numbers!!!
Total Adoptions: 1,579
Total Rescued by Other Organizations: 117
Total Feral Cats Neutered & Released: 397
Total Pets Returned to Owners: 209
Grand Total for Live Release: 2,302 pets!!
We increased our adoptions by about 500 from last year! And our return to owner number is larger than it has ever been!
THANK YOU all again and I hope that you are as proud of these numbers as we all are! Have a safe and happy New Year and we can’t wait to see what 2020 will bring for WAGS!
