WAGS Pet Adoption Service Will Hold Family Day Fundraiser
Westminster Adoption Group & Services (WAGS) Event Will Bring Together Orphaned Pets, Adoptive Families and Local Sponsors.
Westminster, CA — Festive food, fun music, face-painting and other family oriented activities will be the attraction at a Family Day fundraiser planned by Westminster Adoption Group & Services (WAGS) in Westminster. The event will take place July 28, 2012 from noon to 4 p.m. at Westminster Veterinary Group, 6621 Westminster Blvd.
Adoptive families of rescued pets will be on hand to tell of heartwarming experiences, and attendees will have the opportunity to fund adoptions through sponsorships.
“This is our way of celebrating the joyous adoptions taking place through WAGS in our first year of service,” says Michelle Russillo, spokesperson for the group. “We’re hoping to offer one-dollar adoptions as part of this initial Family Day event—using funding provided by businesses, organizations and caring individuals. We want more families to have the chance to share their lives with one of our wonderful WAGS rescue pets.”
Information on sponsorships and donations is available by phoning WAGS coordinator Cortney Dorney at (714) 887-6156.
“Sponsors can maximize their return on investment by combining event-marketing benefits with advertising and media relations. Our WAGS coordinator works closely with sponsors to ensure our marketing plan achieves your organization’s goals,” notes Russillo.
Family Fun Day is the creation of WAGS staffers and volunteers. Beyond adoptions sponsorships, all money donated will go toward providing caring veterinary services for sick, injured and abused/homeless animals and support for animal foster care.
About WAGS Pet Adoption
Since its founding last year, WAGS has come to the aid of hundreds of homeless animals.
WAGS also educates the community regarding responsible pet ownership, plus providing spaying/neutering services, heartworm testing, flea control, deworming, intestinal parasite screening and, vaccines & microchip implants. All work is carried out in a clean, safe and humane pet shelter environment.
Dr. Tia Greenberg, the founder of WAGS, has an established veterinary practice in Westminster. She notes that rescued pets receive the very same standard of veterinary care as other pets brought to her private practice. “Before one of our homeless animals is adopted out—it receives full professional medical care, lovingly given by all involved.”
