We are still very far from our goal of $700 needing to be raised for little “Cankle

We are still very far from our goal of $700 needing to be raised for little “Cankle”. His surgery has been scheduled for next Wednesday and, as you can see, he is a happy, active little guy who deserves a chance to save that leg. Please help by donating…Www.wagspetadoption.org/donate. Please put Cankle in the notes section of your donation so we know where you want your donation to go. Thank you in advance for your help.

  1. Sorry for little Cankle. Sometimes when people donate for a special need and then they never hear about the results of the money raised, they feel they’ve been scammed — and let their feelings be known on the internet. Also, if an organization claims to be non-profit and has a link to where this can be verified, but that link shows the IRS never heard of them, trust issues emerge. It is very important to not only be completely above board, but to appear so. Animal rescue is a competitive endeavor, with organizations often backbiting each other.

WAGS is taking on more and more responsibility. They are a private rescue organization and an official shelter for two cities. They hope to expand and continue offering the excellent medical care to all the animals who come in. A visit to WAGS shows the animal-loving attitude of their workers. Their hard work for adoption fairs results in homes for animals who would otherwise get no face-time with the public. But, in my opinion, to keep growing successfully, they will need also to expand their support base from the community, which can only be done if they show in everything they do how they strive for excellence and transparency.
